Kaleidoscope is a literary and visual arts journal published each spring that includes student-submitted prose, poetry, art, and photography.

Eligibility:

• All Spoon River College students, along with SRC employees and district residents are encouraged to submit their creative work. 
• Any piece of art or short literature (short story, essay, poem, etc.) may be submitted.
• Each individual may submit a maximum of four pieces, and each entry should have its own entry form.
• Submissions for the 2025 issue are due by February 21, 2025.

Formatting for Literary Submissions:

• Literary submissions should be double-spaced and in a 12-point readable font. 
• Please attach your literary entry as a word document (.docx) file to your submission form.

Additional Information:

• Only submit unpublished and original pieces. Kaleidoscope does not accept AI or any AI-enhanced work. 
• Simultaneous submissions are accepted. Please notify us as soon as possible of any accepted work.

• One-time publication rights; author retains rights to their work.
